swapping autotranny

On the R&R for the automatic transmission, I seem to recall the center 
shaft had to seat correctly in the torque converter. You can assemble it 
wrong, but when you tighten up the bolts holding the autobox to the bell 
housing, it pushes the shaft backward and breaks the rear pump or something.

Other than that, it is not a real big deal, other than you are working on 
your back under the car with crud and grunge dripping on you as you try to 
precisely muscle heavy, dirty chunks of cold metal into place in the snow . 
. . with the car on jackstands, a floor jack under the tranny will make 
your life MUCH easier.

Make *ABSOLUTELY* sure you have backup for the jackstands, and don't even 
think about doing this using cinder blocks.
