Fuel Pressure testing - CIS-EIII

Phil,

I was looking at the JCW one. It says CIS-K Jet, Will it also do CIS-EIII?

I saw they also have a complete kit that supposedly covers all cars for $299.

I just was able to borrow one from a certified AUDI tech at Criswell - great bunch of peaople BTW. He had gotten a very nice kit from Matco - it still did not have the correct adaptors to screw into the CIS-EIII test port and CS port. He happened to have the correct ones as given in a special service kit from AUDI.

I was able to get what I needed by bringing the spare CIS-E3 fuel distributor and took about 15 minutes to find the right fittings - now I have what the book specifies, only a little nicer. I'd still like to source a proper kit for myself. I think a second JCW kit would give me what I need..I already have a set of the adaptors that all screw together in a line. Unfortunately I could only screw into one port or the other, but not both. Had a had a duplicate set, I'm sure I could have made it work.

Phil - I'm curious what are the most common problems you encounter when you run the tests, both on CIS and CIS-E systems?

Just pulled out the Probst book for a review.

TIA

Ben

No - read Probst.

One Monday, four last week.

The JC Whitney gauge used to be around $59.
