Multi malfunction sensor lifetime?

About 6 months on the last two :(. Both new style. Sigh. Replaced the 
wiring harness for it last time, as it got totally munged as well.

It's cheap, but for me, a total and complete pain in the arse to 
replace. How does one get in there without supermodel-thin arms?
