Multi malfunction sensor lifetime?

i found a way to make them last longer.

i bought a spare 3 years ago when it looked like the old one was getting
intermittent. found the rubber boot full of coolant, so i pulled it back
from the connector to drain and left it alone. continues to work today and
the spare sits in a box.

It seems like it could be, yes. Although, the new one I threw on my 90Q
seems to be holding up. of course, I don't know about the A/C senders
on it since I tore that out...

But, hey, $40 a year? A cup of coffee every other week? Just pick one
up with every third or fourth oil filter...
