Steve,

<disclaimer> I drove both the allroad and the A6, and ended up in an A6.

I thought the A6 was much tighter overall.

Remember, your allroad stock ride height is an inch higher than the
equivalent A6. Do a search on audiworld.com for the "402 mod". This mod
lowers your suspension by a selected number of millimeters and should firm
up the handling some. You need some vag-com software and a cable...or find
someone local who already owns a setup.

Tires will help too. The allroad forum on AW.com seems to be in favor of the
Falkens. Personally, I'm a Toyo fan, and I just put a set of Proxes 4 on my
A6.

If you change wheels, be careful. The allroad requires an unusual offset (or
spacers).

Lots of people rechip both the transmission and engine. Again, check the
audiworld forum. You do put your warranty at risk tho.

I think the transmission can be reprogrammed too, with the vag-com setup.
