I'm really not sure. I had heard of the Tip Chip, so I assumed it was
something that needed to be changed that way. Again, no first had
experience. I just got a VAG-COM myself, so I'm still learning what it
can do.
BTW, The discussion is moot for me. Looking for the elusive 6-speee
allroad beast...

David et al:

Somewhere, I am under the belief that the TipTronic Trasmission shift
hesitations can be altered by using the Vag-Com tool.

I may be WRONG..........but I think I heard/remember that.

Try www.Ross-Tech.com and browse their forums.

No affliation except I did buy a Vag-Com tool.

I've seen all of these issues addressed on the audiworld.com allroad

forum. To summarize,

the general feeling is that the allroad tires aren't performance tires

(duh). If you want good grip and handling on roads, make a change.

Yes, the Tip Chip does help with shift delays.

Also, I've heard the suspension should firm up when on the lowest setting...

for me, I'm still allroad shopping, so nothing first hand yet. :-)
