Crank Position sensor

The problem is that I have no spark and I can't figure out why. I tested the 
resistance on the coil, between the side terminals < 1ohm. Between each side 
terminal and the high tension connection >10kohms. The only other thing it 
could be is the cable that runs from the coil to the distributor cap. It's got 2k 
ohms of resistance and I can't get anyone on the list to test theirs to tell 
me if that's regular, and the parts store doesn't carry just single cables.... 
I'll have to take a trip to the junk yard this weekend.

I had a problem with the hall sensor, the connector broke off the side of the 
distributor, but the car still ran. That's how this all started. I took the 
distributor off to repair the hall sensor connector, and now I can't get the 
car to run again.

I pulled the codes before I took the dist off, and had a hall sensor code. I 
can't pull them now because I can't get the car started - right ?
