Scott,
Doesn't the ECU still log codes even if the car doesn't start?  IIRC you
crank the car over for a few seconds, leave the ignition on and pull the
codes - it works that way for my '87 5ktq.

I pulled the codes before I took the dist off, and had a hall sensor code. I
can't pull them now because I can't get the car started - right ?
