1990 100 Refuses to Start

Doug,
Thanks for reply. I think maybe I should change the heading to refuses to
start. Here are a few answers to your questions. The engine cranks fine,
all the electrical accessories work fine, so I don't think it is a voltage
drop issue.
Here's the scenario: put the key in the ignition, and turn to the
accessory position, all the accessories work, but the dash warning lights
to don't come on, nor do any of the guages register (normally the fuel
guage rises; temp guage comes up; etc). Turn the key to start position and
the starter cranks the engine over just fine, it just doesn't start (and
still no guages or warning lights) Strangely, the fuel pump doesn't prime
the system either, when the key is put in the accessory position. I am
really starting to suspect the ignition switch, but I am having a hard time
with that because it is brand new.
Things I have tried: checked all the fuses; tried a different load
reduction rely; tried an another fuel pump relay; I haven't tried changing
the ignition switch, but I can try that after work. Any other suggestions
would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Ted

No lights/etc when cranking sounds to me like voltage drops drastically.
Could be the starter failing, or could be a short in the ign switch (I
would tend to think not, since it worked for three weeks after you
replaced it, but something may have gotten rattled loose).
Difficult to start how? Slow cranking? Cranks fine but never catches?
Cranks, and almost catches?
