We've only been using mailman for about 2-3 years, not "seven or 
eight", and it represents state of the art in list management 
software.  It was a VAST improvement over majordomo, as anyone who 
remembers it can attest.  As someone who does sysadmin work 
professionally, I can assure you there is NOTHING better out there. 
The problem is 99% with people going over quota, using lousy email 
providers, and whatnot.
Dan hasn't said much about any complaints to him, I get next to none, 
and rarely do I see someone mention it on list.
