Even the machine shops have trouble with these.  BTDT.
 One place ruined the first bearing I gave them. 
Needless to say, they are not recommended.

Too bad Audi wheel bearings are not mounted to a hub. 
VW uses that approach on the the A series cars.  There
is a place in Michigan (Parts Place Inc) that will
sell you a good used hub with a nice fresh bearing
already pressed in.  You then return your hub to them
as a core, and the process begins anew.

wonder why Audi and VW don't standardize more often.
