Potential Purchase of V8q

Hi All,
 
Potentially looking at a 1991 V8q with 127k miles on it.  Talked to the owner and says has minor front end damage and a cracked wind shield.  It's drivable though.  Automatic unforunately.  He's the 2nd owner and  selling for $1500.  Price doesn't seem bad, eh?  Am I looking at trouble?
 
I'm going to check it out this Saturday.  It's cheap so I'm curious about this Audi.  Will it kill me like the cat?  Anyway, if things don't work out, I'll pass on the information to the list in case anyone else is interested.  If you are, let me know.
