getting frustrated

I don't have an MC motor, but I thought that it does NOT have a cam postion sensor. I think by that it means the hall sender since the distributor drives directly off the cam and the hall sender is sort of a cam position sender. Maybe someone else can verify this...
If you're getting this error, sounds like you need to replace the distributor b/c the hall sender is a serious PITA to replace, at least on mine. The problem is there are a couple springs attached the plate w/ the sender, so it's very tricky to put back together right. Maybe you can test your distributor in another car of the same type motor. Or you can just get a rebuilt dist. from the parts store, and if it doesn't solve your problems, just return it. That's something I've done before... If that doesn't work, you need to check the wiring. The engine bay wiring is extremely thin on these cars and they can become very brittle with old age. There's a step-by-step procedure in the Bentley shop manual that'll really be helpful in troubleshooting. You should definitley have the manuals if you're going to work on these sort of cars... Haynes won't cut it. If you're in desperate need, I might be convinced into scanning in a couple pages for ya. good luck.

Hmmm... Doing some web searches, I get 2 different explanations
of what DTC 2113 mean.
<http://www.sjmautotechnik.com/TROUBLE_SHOOTING/10vcodes.htm>
Scott Mockry's site shows 2113 to be:
2113 (Blink Fault Code), VAG1551/2 Fault Code Number 00515
Hall sender in distributor
Distributor alignment, faulty sender,
Mis-located sensor & distributor
<http://www.intendedacceleration.com/fault_codes.html>
and
<http://www.carsoftwares.com/audicode.html>
both show this:
DTC 2113 = Camshaft Position Sensor (G 40)
2113
Camshaft Position Sensor (G 40)
No change in signal
Open circuit or short circuit to positive
Signal to positive
Short circuit to ground
Signal to ground
Mechanical malfunction, hall sender defective
Faulty basic setting, or distributor alignment
Cambelt has jumped a tooth
If 1551/1552 Shows sporadic disregard
Since you replaced the distributor (new, but known to
be good?), I'd look at the camshaft position sensor.
In addition, I have found the simplest solution to hesitation
problems to be to put in new spark plugs and spark plug wires.
When were they last replaced?
