Climate control differences...

Hi all,

I have some odd questions regarding the climate control unit used in the
type-44 cars and that in a late D11 (V8).

I've been offered a centre console unit from a V8 which has the newer
climate control unit still installed in it. My Audi 200 ('89/'90 model) used
to have the older climate controller which does a single temperature
setting. The one out of this V8 seems to have the newer controller, like
most of the A4/A6 cars used to have, which does different settings for
passenger and driver.

I know the graft would be near impossible, but seeing as the vehicle is just
about completely stripped out and I need to clean up all the wiring and
ducting in the type-44, including removing the complete aircon system,
etc. ... I was wondering just how much of a mission it'd be to get the dual-
zone climate control setup fitted.

Basically, looking for the major mechanical and position differences between
the 2 systems.

Thanks. :)

G.
