Factory exhaust parts are in sections that are joined together with
gaskets and bolts, never welded.  If you get an OEM muffler, it
should be a simple matter of unbolting the old and bolting on the new.
That is, if your car's exhaust pipes have not been molested by an
unscrupulous shop.
