Jeff,

There has been some debate on this, but  the word on the list is that no
cars in the USA actually came from the factory with the 2-piece exhaust
manifold. Apparently this was available as a replacement part to combat the
broken studs issue caused by the 1-piece exhaust manifold.

It was available for the 10v turbo Type 44's.

As far as cost, Igor Kessel posted his cost for the 2-piece exhaust
manifold kit in 1998, which can be read at:

It looks like the kit cost him $724.95. I have seen other reports of $800.

I recall some discussion about using a support bracket for the EM that
_might_ lessen the likelihood of the broken stud problem. This is mentioned
in Igor's post about the 2-piece above, but also in the threads you can get

Some qlisters have made their own SS header systems that probably flow
better, which might be an option to pursue.
