Tie-rod thread size?? plus: How do you distinguish R+L tie-rods??

If you can read the part numbers, Audi has always used an odd/even 
standard (which I can never remember).  Any time there is a left/right 
version of a part, the same side will always have the even number, and 
the other side the odd one.

So... again, if you can read the part numbers (if they even have Audi 
numbers on them), just look at some other part (like tail light lenses), 
see which is even and which is odd, and run with it.
