Tie-rod thread size?? plus: How do you distinguish R+L tie-rods??

The tie rods have a slight bend at the end. The Bentley manual shows a
picture. If you need more help, I'll go and look at mine.

If you do need the thread size I have a set of metric taps & dies which I
can run up the threads to check.

Let me know.

PS: I always put "anti-seize" paste on all of the suspension threads. It
makes it a lot easier to get an alignment done. I also put a thick gob of
silicone caulking around the lock nuts and shafts. It's easy to cut off
with a knife when you need to undo the parts.

I've painted both of my tie-rods out of my 5kT, but now I'm not sure which
one is which... How can you tell the difference? Also does anyone know the
metric size of the threads and pitch at the end of the tie-rod? I probly
need to use a die to chase the threads near the end. Thanks.
