Where I live in SW Virginia I-81 is protrayed as this horrible road.  
The papers call it "The Road of Death".  I am not kidding.  My wife and 
I roll our eyes every time we read it.

I have never see statistics printed in the paper about how we compare to 
other roads in the country (I am sure we would not even be a blip).  
Lucky us thanks to all the publicity we now have a 60 mph speed limit 
for about a 15 mile section that is supposed to be especially dangerous.
