Drag strip, not a race or DE event. Up in NH, live-free-or-die land.
Long as you don't do 13's(I think?), they don't give a crap about
anything save that the wheels aren't going to fall off. 13 requires
a helmet, 12's I believe required a cage and more. They had a
volunteer tech who poked around for leaks and whatnot; I had
everything moved into the trunk already and that made him happy.
One of the faster cars there that night was a Viper RT/10, which lost
its detachable roof on the first run; apparently wasn't latched down.
Very expensive...
I'm well aware of loose object rules etc...you'll find me doing tech
at NEQ events often, and folks get the full lecture. We don't allow
anything in the glovebox or trunk, no floor mats, not even the spare-
everything comes out if it isn't bolted down hard!
