Wanting Better Radiator

Diesels are more efficient, which means that more energy goes into forcing
the pistons down than into warming up the coolant.
The cooling demands are greater for a turbo diesel because more air (and
more fuel) are forced into the cylinder, and the resulting combustion
produces more heat (relative to the normally aspirated diesel with
the same displacement.) Cylinder pressures on turbo diesels are also
significantly higher, and engine stress is higher. This translates to
heat being stored in thermal sinks like the head, block and engine oil.
Piston cooling jets and oil/coolant heat exchangers first appeared in the
VW fleet on the turbo diesel.
