Sure, politeness is always good.  But sometimes what has to be said, has
to be said, and there's no time for flowers & poetry.

Well, I don't think he was implying there is such a system supported in
any way by the site or the mailing list.  Simply that, apparently, there
are copies floating around out there, and the best way to try to find
one is to send someone who refers to it obliquely a private email.

Or, ironically, go to ebay where there seems to be a steady supply of
this bootlegged software on sale.  Audifans is small and would probably
like to avoid messy legal shenanigans.  Ebay doesn't seem to care.

That is not the case at all.

I think that is the common mode of dispersion, yes.
