7a inlet manifold removal

Hello Iain
The injectors can stay in the intake manifold, but you have to be very
careful with it if you leave them there. The tips protrude out of the
mating surface between manifold and head. It is a good idea to leave them in
however - removing the fuel rail and pulling the injectors seems easy and
looks like a good idea until you actually try it. Our aged 20v injectors
have a special air-shrouded connection at the fuel rail that breaks very
easily. Even the gentlest treatment and these things snap just because they
are old. Injectors are very pricey for the 20v. I'd say the risk of damage
is much lesser if you leave them in the manifold.
Good luck!

my 90 so that i can replace the rocker cover gasket and probably the lifters
and cam chain whilst i am in there. Does anyone know if the injectors need
to be removed as well or can they just sit in the manifold. If they need to
be removed how is this done?? I am familiar with injector removal on the 10v
cars is it similar??
