90Q V6 oil leak question

Hey friends, I'm about ready to embark on my first mechanical adventure with
my wife's new toy, a 1993 90Q.  VERY nice car, and she's loving the V6-5
speed combination.

However, it's leaking oil like a fiend and it appears to be coming from the
valley pan under the intake manifold. I'm going to try to pinpoint the leak
as well as possible, but it's really buried.  I expect to have to pull the
intake manifold to get at the source.

Any comments or BTDT's? On a 'Murrican V-8 this would be easy, but I'm
always concerned about hidden gotchas on Audis.
