Since an '89 200 *is* a type 44, it should be
a no brainer. But, as you said, finding a good
donor may be the challenge. I'd venture a guess
that some of the metal support brackets behind
the lights may need to be altered to accomodate
the difference between the square and the aero
headlights. Cutting and bolting or cutting and
welding may be required.

conversion, in which he describes playing with

It would be less work, but more expensive,
to source a nice set of Euro e-code lights.
