I have been running a quad light system from a 1985 5ktq on my 87 5ktq in
Ohio, for the past two years. It uses e-code lamps and the circuits are all
relayed. Outstanding results. Later had to re-do the relay wiring by making
it weatherproof, as all the connection points deteriorated due to exposure
to winter salt spray.....front end is drenched in the stuff all winter. I
went to marine grade connections. And I think it looks good. Round lamps
might have looked better, but would have involved vastly more fabrication.
I considered doing the Huw Powell rounds, but the rectangular quads were a
straight bolt-on. Even the trim was a close fit. Cost was about half that
of eurolights, but not insignificant.
