I used to have this problem, especially on the 98 Passat. The resolution for me? A little bit of heavy graphite grease between the wheel & rotor. No more sticky...

i usually have to give the wheels a good kick to get them off once the lugs
are out. typically on the 90 its a love tap. on the 5000 it was a hate
crime. does that make me an alloyist?
