I've attempting a fix on this, as follows:
Auto ck light, for pads, comes on at startup or shortly after-only when
outside temp is below 50F
There is plenty of meat on the pads.
According to SJM site and wiring diagram (as I read it) the auto ck system
will respond to a break in the circuit. Wire (I beleive) runs from auto ck unit
thru left pad to right pad and then grounded. I have eliminated the lines that
pass thru the pads and connected the 2 wires together on each side,
eliminating the pads from the circuit-light still on.
I've been been unable to actually trace where this grounds out on the right
side-seems to be under a heat shield. So I ran a fresh ground to this
circuit-still get the pad light.
Since it only happens at lower temps I'm wondering about a loose connection
or solder joint somewhere. Any suggestions?
