Transmission Modifications (016)

I have a spare torsen tranny at home now from a 91 200 tq. I had planned
to swap it in my 5k, but have since decided not to. However, I was
thinking of building a strange creation with it. I'm sure it's
blasphemy, but I was considering attaching a turbo 13B rotary to it.
Then, hanging the whole thing backwards ala the aircooled VW's.

My question is this: Is it possible to swap sides of the ring gear to
get the output to spin the opposite direction? I know you can do this
with porsche and VW cases, but I don't know if you can do it with the
016 audi tranny. If so, how about the rear diff? Can it be swapped to
the other side too?

I'm thinking an awd play car that will likely be a tube chassis creation
like the Formula SAE cars many universities build each year.....only
slightly larger and maybe seating for two.
