Subject: Transmission Modifications (016) now KIT cars

While owners of the original *real* cars seem a bit snobby at times
towards the kit versions, I think the kit community is relatively
friendly of untraditional versions. Personally, I believe all the cobras
suffer from far too much weight on the nose. An AWD AAN drivetrain in a
cobra would be a very fun car, and if you got the hard top version it
may even be sort of streetable year round.

My local VW mechanic has a Factory 5 cobra kit. A very fun car, even
with just the 5.0L engine in it. But it snaps from understeer to
oversteer even faster than my Mach I. Indeed, a hard car to drive
fast....or at least drive fast well.

Since the Factory 5 Racing kit is so based on the mustang components,
would you think it's the best starter platform? There's so many kits
available....In fact, I have some detailed chassis dimensions for the 5k
and 91 200 tq.....you could just buy the body, and build a chassis that
accepts the audi subframe of your choice. Now *that* would be cool.
