All allen bolts should be shocked before removal, especially true for
long IM bolts on 10V. In general you need a mild steel rod (for IM bolts
it should be 60 - 70 cm long), and 2 - 3 kg hammer. Spray some
penetrating oil on the subjects, place the rod sideways on the bolt head
and hit it with a hammer a few times to shock it, not to smash it. If
done properly, the bolt comes out without usual drama. Same procedure
applies for all other allen bolts on the car, like r/callipers, harmonic
balancer etc. Another must have tool and technique for all Audianers.

  Cheers,

Ado
