My '99.5 was 150HP, not sure when they went to the updated motor. There is a review of a 2000 1.8t Avant online that cites the 150HP mill...
(I would expect Ti kan to know the exact date Audi changed over :)

hp, as is my 2004. I imagine the lbs-per-hp on your car and mine are similar, however,
since I'm sure the B6 weighs more than the B5.... I have a six-speed and I do find
the car a bit sluggish off the line. Ones it gets moving, however, it moves out
just fine. Second and third gears in particular are very sweet.....
