The '88 5000S quattro has the non-turbo engine (NF code, 130hp),
whereas the 5000CS quattro has the turbo engine (MC code, 162hp).
The engine management systems are different between the two engines
(NF is CIS-E3, MC is CIS with custom Hitachi ECU.  There are many
physical differences between the two as well as electrical).
