Need info on Cylinder Head removal

I'm reading the manuals on both my cars and making notes on how to remove
the head.
The Bentley manuals do not have a procedures for removing the heads.

The 88 5k Haynes manual has a procedure.

Based on what I have read and observed, the procedure would be:

1. Disconnect Battery neg terminal.
2. Drain cooling system,
3. Remove front grill and trim
4. Unbolt Hydraulic pump and set aside.
5. Remove air hoses and vacuum lines, electrical connectors, grounds, accel
cable, etc
6. Remove intake manifold bonnet, top half of intake manifold
7. Remove fuel distributor, air cleaner, air hoses, fuel injectors
8. Disconnect downpipe from exhaust manifold
9. Loosen alternator and remove belt
10. Unbolt and set aside A/C compressor   ?????
11. Remove radiator hoses, plug wires, dist cap
12. Remove Timing belt upper cover
13. Remove valve cover
14. Turn engine to TDC
15. Loosen water pump bolts, rotate water pump to release T belt, pull off T
belt
16. Remove Camshaft gear
17. Remove upper cover retaining stud, remove bolt from inner cover right
side of head
18. Remove head bolts
19. Ease timing belt inner cover forward to clear camshaft
20. Lift off head, tap with rawhide or plastic mallet to break grip

21. Remover intake manifold, exhaust manifold
22. Clean gasket surfaces, insert dowels, position gasket, use dry
***** What kind of dowels are these? In the illustration they look like the
mounting aid that screws into a lug bolt hole when mounting a wheel. Are
these temporary tools?


Questions:
1. Can the head bolts be reused?
2. Most if not all my bolts and studs are rusted to hell. Any tricks for
pulling out the rusted studs?
3. Any tricks to undoing the hard stuff like the exhaust down pipe?
4. Since the fuel injectors are out, what seals should be replaced? tips?
inserts?
5. Any preferences for a valve cover gasket set?
6. Where can I use stainless steel parts, and where not?
7. Are the exhaust manifold nuts/bolts/washers special?
8. Does the A/C compressor need to be unbolted?
