89 Audi 200 Turbo starter

I remember doing this on my S2. (My assumption - very possibly
incorrect - is that it is not too different on your 200).

Trying to get the top bolt at the rear out from on top was OK using
the correct ratchet. I recall it was a 16 mm hex. Something I didn't
have at home anyway.

It was when I put the starter back that I found the everything could
easily be reached from underneath the car. Even the top bolt at the
rear.

BTW, disconnect the battery when you pull the starter off or you will
spot weld all kinds of stuff down there.
