This is from recall, so I may be meissing some things.

It should not be necessary to pull the dash to remove the evaporator.

Fittings - 1 needs to be disconnected in front of battery box, the other from behind the unit once dropped down. It is a blind job, but you can locate the fitting behind the unit, get proper size wrenches - think one is a 22mm the other a 17mm, but check first for tight fit.

Under hood - Remove cheap plastic cowling/rain diverter cover. & remove the screws holding the top of the HVAC air handler and disconect the electrical and remove the handler cover. There you will find the screws holding the evaporator assy. from the top and remove them.

There are other screw holding the evap assy below the glove...remove all cover plates carefully without breaking and you should have full access.

The evap. unit can then be pulled down gently and the lines can be flexed some shile you get to the fitting behind.

It is not that difficult - just gheck you have all fastners loose so you dont break anything when removeing. glove box does not have to be removed AFAIR.

how do you get the unit behind the glove box out? I dont know what its
called, looks like a cooler has a high and low psi line comming into
it, a thermocouple, drip tube,etc..
I got everything but the unit and firewall lines off...how do I get
the unit out? I see two screws into tinermans nuts but they look like
they are only accessible if I pull the dash...is there another way?
can I yank it out?]
