Question-1988 5K CSQ side view mirrors

I have a 88 5000 csqt and have just replaced the left  door hanle that
didn't lock ...now it does and also decided to replace the switch
control on the driver door...i did and now the left window won't  come
on that door ....put the old one back in ,still won't come
down.....guess we have to take the inner panel off also to try to locate
the problem ,any sugestions.  bob
