At least in my experience, locking bolts don't have 6 sides to grip.
(Would kind of defeat the purpose) The 12 point sockets have points
instead of just flats and corners. Mitchell's wrench was using the
socket to "make" sides on the bolt -- it seems like the 12 sider (with
it's points) would do a better job than a 6 sider.
