Excellent info Dennis, so of all the combinations of CV (big and small
outer diameter, big and small inner splines) the only combination they
don't make is big outer diameter and small splines. Darn EXACT. So it looks
like the only way to make this work it to get a 89 90 FWD shaft and hope it
    fits. YES

As to the ring and pinion, I don't want to swap the entire r/p, I just want
to take the side gears out of the carrier, and stick them in the other
carrier. At most, I would have to take the ring gear off the carrier to
get the cross pin out. You can do this on the Ford 9" rear end in my
truck. No re-set up should be required as I would be using all the same
parts in the same tranny except the side gears that attach the stubs.

I DONT KNOW I NEVER CHECKED IT.

     >If this is an 016 box then you can simply swap the joint flanges.
Sadly it isn't. It's an 012 box. The two drive flanges have different
diameters and spline counts on the stub that goes into the tranny.

The 01A on 90FWD and 100Q can be swap, 016 too.
