Vagcom and Airbag light 200q20v

I've got an airbag light that won't go out on my 91 200q20v.

I'm due to go to the dealer for a recall on my rear speakers, and was 
thinking of having them run the codes / turn the damn light off for me.

However, if it's not too much more, I'd rather invest in a vagcom system and 
do it myself.

What should I be looking at spending on a system?  I realize the 91 system is 
rather basic, but what other functions can I control through vagcom?

If anyone has a setup for sale, or knows the most reasonable way for me to 
get one, let me know.
