Right, you want to copy how the 4000 is setup. The best thing to do is
just replace the lower hose with one from a 4kq, and plug the top
port.  Just get a section of hose, find a brass pipe plug at the
harware store, wrap the threads with teflon tape so they don't cut the
hose, and clamp it down.
