Clutch Dragging '85 4KQ

Symptoms: Clutch drags, hard to get into gear or shift, works a lot better if 
you slip it and get the clutch 'warmed up.'

There is only about 1/2" free play, then you get a solid feel all the way 
down to the floor, but it starts to engage about 1" off the floor. I have bled 
the system, found no air and it doesn't feel like there is any air in the 
system. There is no 'bleed thru,' you can start it, put it into gear hold your foot 
down all the way and it won't eventually start to creep foreword. The clutch 
feels real strong, no slippage at all.

Where do I start?  Master, Slave or (ugh) clutch
