unintended acceleration

Back in the late 80's stupid people were applying the accelerator instead of
the brake in panic situations casuing the car to surge forward.
60 minutes then dis an investigative report where they modified a audi
transmission then taped the car suddenly jumping into gear at full throttle,
while the driver applied the "brakes". It almost cost Audi their US market
share.
