WR? Re: Nokian Group Buy

Any opinions on the Nokian WR?

After years of reading about the wonders of Hakkas, seeing this group
buy, and hearing from my father who resides in Germany that they're
known there to be pretty good (though there are even better choices)
(and that that matches his experience with a current set), I searched
again, and found that the WR actually comes in two sizes that sort of
fit my cars. None of the other Nokian winter types fit; the WR is not
actually listed on the nokiatires.com pages, but etires.com lists them.

Looking at German-language winter tire tests, there seems to be two
basic tests that keep being quoted: the ADAC (German AAA), which calls
it "barely recommendable", which is the worst mark any tire in their
test got, citing "relatively weak on snow and ice". (Great. Just what I
want in a winter tire.) "test" (German Consumer Reports) calls it
acceptable in one test, and (apparently - I can't find it anymore now)
good in another (in another size).

This is giving me seconds thoughts about spending even slightly more
than what Blizzaks would cost, which, while having a limited lifespan,
have proven to be really quite good while they last. What makes me doubt
those tests a little is that Michelin Arctic tires came out on top - I
have a set of those and find it dangerous in pretty much any weather.

Is the WR worth the Nokian premium? Or are those praises always sung to
only all other Nokian winter tires?

I'd appreciate any advice.
