1.8T timing belt

I believe it to be a crap shoot. Are you a gambling man?  I think
there has still been failures before 75k with the updated belt, then I
have read stories about people with older MY cars that let it go to
100k without a failure.

I have 56k miles on my 2001 1.8t and I have already had mine changed. 
My situation was a little different, though.  Under warranty they had
the engine torn apart to replace my camshaft sensor and I had them
change it while they were in there and it saved me some money.

Those are my thoughts.
