Type 44 Rear fuel line and/or accumulator replacement?

Folks
The fuel pressure accumulator (in front of the right rear wheel) on my
90 200 QA is so rusty that I can't even tell what kind of fittings
connect the lines to the accumulator, much less undo the fittings. The
car has 204,000 miles, and I want to make sure it does not spring a
leak at an inopportune time. The whole setup looks like it will
disintegrate at any moment. So, a few questions:
1. anyone ever have problems with the fittings or pressurre accumulator
rusting so badly they leak?
2. is it possible to drop the tank just enough to snake the old fuel
line out and a new one in, or does one have to remove the tank
entirely(which means drop the differential, which means $$$)?
Any other thoughts?
Thanks!
Dave
