Trouble Regarding Rear Passenger Window

Hello,

   I've been a lurker for abit as I am interested in getting a Quattro 
(eventually) but for now I am content on helping my friend work on his 
Audi 4000CS. Anyhow, my friend had his car broken into and the rear 
passenger side window smashed :< We managed to Junk Yard a new piece of 
glass for 15 dollars though. However, with the door all apart, we are 
having trouble getting the window to get into the right side channel, it 
appears as if the window is 'to large' by about 4-5 millimeters, even 
though we pulled it off an identical car. My thoughts are that perhaps 
we need a special tool to get it into said channel, a roller tool? I'm 
not sure, but any advice from the pro's off this list we be greatly 
appreciated :> I'm on digest so my replies will be delayed abit.
