Yes, this could become a problem. Especially if the cap over the 
positive terminal is knocked off.

Audi isn't the only offender though. I hear other manufacturers are 
putting the battery inside the passenger compartment. Even outside in 
the engine bay, the battery can cause problems if it isn't tied down and 
capped. Especially in a roll over situation.
