The 3.0 is no slouch. It's a big improvement over the previous 2.8.
You should drive one and decide for yourself. A 3.0 Avant might not
be as "spiffy" as an allroad 2.7T, but it's probably the more reliable
of the two, without the fancy height adjustable suspension and twin turbos.
