Avant rear door. Argh!!!

Hi.
Among many thing I worked on my 200tq and 200tqa (both '89) the door
handles were most driving crazy -- inexplicable engineering wander.
But it was until I tried to remove rear door panels on 200 Avant '89.
The fact that it is seems not a problem for the rest of the list makes
my frustration even bigger. It is the panel where window switch is not
in the door handle but in the door opening mechanism housing (maybe
Avants only?) How should that damn plastic housing be removed? Pull
opening door handle, remove the screw, slide the housing toward the
front of the car, according to Bentley, and remove it. No! It is not
possible! Window switch housing, which a part of the whole thing,
meets door panel cardboard right away. There is not room to slide it to
the front. I was not able to slide to the back as well. I unclipped
the bottom of the door panel and reached to the back of the housing.
Could not do anything better while working from both sides! Never had
this problem on front doors or rear doors where switch is mounted in
the door handle. What is the secret?! Please, save me from insanity!

Thanks.
Konstantin
